This one was done in summer 2009 while traveling in Arkansas, Iowa, Wyoming, and Montana. Its a Demensions Gold 5 X 7 Collection called Village Serene

This was a winter project started in October 2010 when we returned to Wagon West RV Park in Arizona and was finished after all the activities ended in May 2010. It is a Dimensions Gold 5 X 7 Collection called Scenic Lighthouse.

We visited Devils tower National Monument in June 2009 and I picked up these two cross stitch patterns by Posey. Devils Tower is our nations first national monument. It was established on September 24. 1906. We have passed it a couple of times but this time we stayed in Sundance, WY and drove to it. The tower stands 867 feet tall and is a world-class climbing area, and a sacred site for several Indian tribes. I did it in 18 count Aida instead of the 14 count that came with the kit and finished in the August 2009.

With a genus name from the Greek meaning "dog mouse," the Black-tailed Prairie Dog is among the vocal of mammals as it lives in huge "dog towns" on the shortgrass prairie. Weighing two to four pounds and measuring about 15 inches long. I also did this one in 18 count Aida instead of the 14 count that came with the kit and finished in September 2009.

I first found this Navajo weaving cross stitch in Cameron, AZ where we stopped overnight because it was Labor Day weekend and there were no RV spaces available in Flagstaff. Cameron is a spot in the road with a gas station, souvenir store and restaurant and an RV park across the highway. NP Designs in Colorado Springs, CO has a number of patterns on line for six bucks (no floss) and sold at Cameron for twenty bucks (including floss). So I started this one named Burnwater in May of 2010 and finished in July.

I bought three more patterns on the internet from NP Designs in Colorado Springs, CO. I started this one named Burnwater II in August 2010 and finished in September 2010. These two patterns are my first attempt at using 32 count linen. After these two projects I think I like working with aida better than linen.
